SnakeShed is created and held by Radhika, a trauma-informed women's group facilitator with
academic interests in depth psychology and the decolonisation of psychotherapy.
During a period of profound personal transformation shaped by crisis, loss and change, Radhika was drawn to creativity, Yoga and the feminist philosophies of the ten Tantric Goddesses, the Mahavidyas, whose mythology reflects archetypal aspects of the feminine psyche and the totality of human experience.
Stories of destruction, fear, wisdom, desire, stability, abundance, alchemy, rebirth and sovereignty resonated strongly with Radhika's inner journey of transformation. She was inspired to create SnakeShed as a creative space for embodied and reflective engagement with Tantric feminist archetypal psychology for other women at life's turning points.
Radhika sees transformation as a deeply personal, creative and embodied process which begins with the shedding of what no longer serves to create space for the body's intuitive wisdom, guiding natural alignment, growth and purpose. But to shed and transform so profoundly is a vulnerable and often isolating process, and so, SnakeShed was created as a supportive, collective space for women who find themselves at the threshold of transformation.
Radhika is currently training in classical Tantra Yoga, Hatha Yoga, and contemporary Restorative Yoga. She is a student of Tantric and feminist philosophy.
Radhika's facilitation style is warm, energetic, playful and supportive of women exploring personal transformation in ways that are embodied and meaningful.
